Lead generation

What is lead nurturing?

Lead nurturing is the sustained, low-pressure contact an agent maintains with prospects who are not ready to transact yet, so that the agent is the one they call when they become ready.

Most real estate leads are not slow to convert because they are poor quality. They are slow because moving house is genuinely infrequent and often triggered by events — a job change, a birth, a separation, a retirement — that nobody schedules. Nurturing is the practice of staying present until the trigger arrives.

The failure mode is contact that serves the agent rather than the reader: repeated availability check-ins that ask for a decision the person is not in a position to make. Contact that carries information — a genuine market change, a property that matches what they described, a rule change affecting their situation — survives far longer.

Because the timescale is measured in months or years, nurturing is almost entirely a systems problem. It fails when it depends on someone remembering.

Listlio automates parts of this for real estate agents.
